Westminster, Colorado is a family oriented suburb of Denver located 9 miles to the west. The city stops just before Arvada and the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains and is home to more than 100,000 people. Ranked in the "top 25 places to live" in American by Money Magazine, most residents find Westminster to be conveniently located and charming. Even though the city is predominantly made up of affordable suburban neighborhoods, it has both a metropolitan feel the closer you get to Denver and a rural feel the more west you go. Two of Westminster's most popular recreational areas are Westminster City Park and Standley Lake Regional Park. Standley Lake is one of few in the area that allows motorized boats, camping and fishing and is a highly utilize during the summer months.
